This is a little flashy I did for this assignment. It can be added to and made quite a bit larger but for this exercise I think it is long enough for you to envisage what its meaning is. I hope you find it as interesting as the children that I tried it out with did. You can see that it would make a good learning tool for anyone that was unaware of how to make colours from the primaries. I have found that children as young as 6 years can very quickly learn basic animation, infact they very quickly learn the finer points of the software by search and find methods. I have enjoyed showing people how to use flash and hopefully will be teaching animation in the class room, even if its not flash then another of the many cheaper animation softwares that are available.
You Tube is another good way to display all manner of things, so if you didn't have a blog, web site, or wiki to share your creations then You Tube would probably be a good substitute.

Hi Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteSimple yet very effective. I can see some visual prep students will be engage. I hope that must of them already know what yellow and blue makes after spending time in Childcare.
Creating something like this will be engaging for older students who can make their own... the sound I have to learn how to put sound!
Cheers

sound is east to do....I'll tell you this is flash cs3 but its good for cs4 and 8 so here's what to do.
ReplyDelete1. import your sound to the library.
2. make a new layer and name it sound.
3. if it has automaticly made keyframes delete them. then
4. using blank keyframe add a frame to the frame before the one you want the sound on. then.
5. add a blank keyframe to the last frame you want the sound on.
6. the open the library and drag the sound you want onto the keyframes where you want it.
7. save all.
8. test movie make sure you have sound up on your comp or you will think it didn't work.
9. Have Fun
Hi Kathleen,
ReplyDeletethank you for the instructions on how to incorporate sounds. I am going to give it a go right now:).
Cheers,
